E3 2014 Extra-Life

Flix In Motion had the privilege to create  animated flipbooks for Extra-Life during E3 2014.   With all the excitement was also a wonderful opportunity to educate the guest about Extra-Life…

Extra Life is a fundraising program for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals that has raised over $8 million since it started in 2008. Extra Life raises money year-round for its one-day non-stop gaming event called National Game Day. During this event, participants fundraise, play games, and celebrate the grand total that would be given to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Unlike other marathons and fundraising events, this event is done at your home or any place you like to game.

This year, the event will be on October 25th, 2014.

High School Events!!

Got a High School Event???

This past week has been FULL of High School events!  From Graduations to Grad Nights to Proms, we have been all over NorCal and the Bay!  We LOVE sharing our amazing photo experiences with the youth—its pretty much their domain!  They totally get all of our experiences and love getting to be silly with their friends!

OCRF’s Super Saturday LA 2014

OCRF’s Super Saturday L.A.

Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) is the largest and oldest charity funding research on ovarian cancer in the U.S.  OCRF’s Super Saturday, a day-long fundraising event for the entire family, is in its 17th year in New York, and launched in LA in May, 2014.  Super Saturday New York was founded in 1998 by fashion designer Donna Karan, and late OCRF President and Editor-In-Chief of Harper’s Bazaar, Liz Tilberis. The first Super Saturday event raised $200,000 —and last year, in 2013, this fantastic event raised nearly $3.7 million, the most ever, towards our vital research programs.  Each year, over 2,000 people attend Super Saturday New York in the Hamptons–guests include supporters and their families, designers, celebrities, editors, media, and fashion lovers. Hosted by Kelly Ripa and Donna Karan, and sponsored by QVC, this world famous designer garage sale brings top luxury name brands in high fashion, accessories, beauty products, children’s clothing, and home goods at 30-50% off retail to guests with a passion for charity, fashion and bargains.

Flix In Motion was proud to be a part of such a wonderful fundraising event!  While there, we provided hours and hours of FLIPBOOK Fun!  Guests started with us at the OCRF booth where they chose from our vast selection of premium props and signs.  After that, they starred in their very own 7-seconds of FUN—we then printed out a custom covered FlipBook for them to take as a keepsake from the event!

Counting Stars – Piedmont Senior Prom

Ahhhhh High School Prom….the dresses, the tux, the corsage….all the planning and preparing and what do you have to remember it?  A photo—a photo with a cheesy background….that’s it??  Not if you are students at Piedmont High School!!

We came out to the beautiful Terra Gallery to bring some FUN and make some memories with Piedmont High School.  The kids had a BLAST (and so did the chaperones) making Animated FlipBooks with all their friends—and they had the memory in the palm of their hand!  We also had our Digital Graffiti Wall experience there…guests enjoyed hours of tagging fun and had the photo printed out to always remind them of this special night.

If you are having a Prom (or any other school function) or are on a committee, contact us!  We can make any event THAT much more memorable with any of our unique photo experiences.

Maravilla Gardens – Camarillo, Ca

We were very excited to be invited as a vendor at the Maravilla Gardens 2014 Showcase.  Maravilla Gardens is located in Camarillo, Ca…a quaint area in the Coastal Valley.  The property is an outdoor oasis with lush gardens throughout the venue.  It is often described as a secluded, peaceful, and quiet oasis, where butterflies are frequent visitors.   While there, we met with couples who are either getting married on the grounds or thinking about it…but I’m sure once they step foot on the property, they will be drawn to spend their special day here!

While there, I had the privilege of meeting  Jen with Jen Rodriguez Photography.  She was there also as a vendor (and she may have had some FlipBook FUN with me) and has been photographer for many a weddings here at Maravilla Gardens.  Her work is STUNNING and she definitely knows what she is doing when it comes to Wedding Photography!  Check out Jen’s work on her website gallery and see for yourself!

Augustine Ideas is having us out to help celebrate the Grand Opening of this new neighborhood where Main Street meets modern living at Avenue. Offering two distinct product lines, Avenue delivers 9 innovative townhome-style designs.

At the Grand Opening, new and prospective home owners  come out and see what their new home would look like and take a tour of each home style.  While owners roamed from room to room, we will be there to keep guests having fun and making some memories with our Animated Flip Books and our MobiSnap (#hashtag photobooth).

Augustine Ideas had us out to help celebrate the Grand Opening of this new neighborhood with the perfect blend of style and flair in San Jose. This collection of townhome-style residences continues the Taylor Morrison tradition in the South Bay- a tradition that puts the emphasis on ease of living.

At the Grand Opening, their new home owners got to come out and see what their new home would look like and take a tour of each home style.  While owners roamed from room to room, we were there to keep guests having fun and making some memories with our FlipBook and MobiSnap experiences!

Parker’s Bat Mitzvah

What a special day for a special young lady…

I always love the Mitzvah’s…such a fun way to celebrate a child becoming a young adult!!

Parker’s friends and family joined in the celebration at the wonderful Scott’s Seafood Restaurant on the waterfront at Oaklands Jack London Square.  The party was Mardi Gras themed, and it was clear when you walked in the room!  Upon entry stood an over-sized photo of Parker with a signable frame–adorned with Mardi Gras masks, all the tables had themed mask centerpieces and over the dance floor were GIANT Mardi Gras masks.  Flix In Motion truly had the best view in the house–right next to the windows on the waterfront…GORGEOUS!  Throughout the night we had a blast making FlipBooks and #hashtag photos with MobiSnap…we made over 160 books in 3 hours!
